Non-Objective Abstract Paintings By W. K. Johnson
In 2018 Mr. Johnson started series of small abstract mixed media works. They are quickly executed in an expressionist manner. These are abstract paintings executed with watercolor, ink, graphite, gesso and colored pencil. See Example of one of these works framed.
The mixed media works are available as affordable prints or if available, originals may be purchased. They can be purchased framed or unframed. Prices are available on request(see Contact page).
In 2022 Mr. Johnson began a series of acrylic abstract paintings on canvas that incorporate some of the design elements, marks and gestures found on the earlier works on paper, but most of the newer works include some representational elements (buildings, trees, roads etc). These paintings are scaled up in size with the smallest being 30" by 40". See the first in this series here "Down On The Farm"
